How does a credit score get generated?
Each credit bureau (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax) collect the information from the creditors (Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.) and send it to FICO (Fair Isaac Company). At this time FICO generates a score for each bureau depending on that data collected. The following information is used to generate a credit report with Payment History having the most impact and Types of Credit Used having the least on the score.
